The Audi R8 still fascinates today like no other model in the recent history of sports cars. The fascination continues to be the naturally aspirated V8 and V10 engines which were available then and now and placed between the axles, as well as the avant-garde lines of the body, that is entirely made of aluminum. In order to give the mid-engine sports car even more driving dynamics, KW automotive developed individually height-adjustable spring sets, hydraulic lift systems, and adjustable coilover suspensions for all models and generations of the Audi R8 (Type 42 and Type 4S). Our focus as always is on an increased driving dynamic without sacrificing the sporty ride comfort.
All of our KW coilover suspensions, developed for the Audi R8, guarantee more driving dynamics and safety combined with stylish lowering. The stepless lowering for all the Audi R8 KW coilover suspensions take place via the trapezoidal thread directly on the damper housing which made of a high-strength aluminum alloy. If you opt for an individually height-adjustable KW spring set, you can upgrade your standard dampers with the feature of stepless lowering.
The springs are made of high-strength chrome-silicon steel with height adjustment, vehicle-specific KW dust protection elements and spring travel limiters replace the standard components and are mounted on the standard dampers. Further assembly steps are not necessary. For example, the height-adjustable spring set on the current R8 allows a depth of 5 to 25 mm on both axles. If the R8 is equipped without the "Audi magnetic ride" suspension, it is possible to lower it by up to 35 mm.

KW Coilovers Variant 3 for Audi R8 - also optionally available with a hydraulic lift kit
The KW Variant 3 coilover suspension also offers a perfect symbiosis of more driving dynamics, suitability for everyday use and stepless lowering for the Audi R8. In addition to stepless lowering, separate rebound and compression tuning are possible. As an option, the KW Variant 3 can also be extended with our hydraulic lift system like the KW Variant 4coilover. This allows you to raise the ground clearance by up to 45 mm at the push of a button - ideal for parking garage ramps or underground car park entrances when their ramp angles are too steep for your Audi R8.
