KW Coilovers from the Street Performance and Track Performance Product Lines for Your BMW 3 Series Sedan (G20) and 3 Series Touring (G21)

The KW V4 Clubsport is Now Available for the BMW 3 Series (G20)

We now offer coilovers from our Track Performance product line for the G20. The BMW 3 Series (G20) with rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive (BMW xDrive) becomes even more versatile with the KW V4 Clubsport. Some may know that the V4 Clubsport was the KW Clubsport 3-way back in the days. Thanks to the Clubsport suspension, the 3 Series BMW can be driven on the street and the racetrack during track days.

Our test drives have shown that the driving characteristics of the 3-Series BMW are greatly improved with the KW V4 Clubsport. Notably, the steering and cornering behavior, steering around the center position, and overall handling are noticeable upgrades. There is a slight improvement in straight-line driving, vehicle controllability, and balance. With the KW V4 Clubsport, continuous lowering of 40 to 60 millimeters is possible. It allows adjustments in the low-speed compression and low-speed + high-speed rebound. The compression can be adjusted with 13 clicks, while the rebound can be adjusted with 16 clicks.

KW Street Performance Coilovers for the 3 Series BMW

For the new BMW 3 Series (G20) sedan and the BMW 3 Series (G21) Touring, the KW coilover suspensions V1, V2, and V3 are also available. All three coilover suspensions also allow continuous lowering of 40 to 60 mm within the scope of the parts certificate. Additionally, the coilover suspensions greatly enhance driving dynamics. The handling and road connection become significantly more direct with installing KW suspensions. All KW coilover suspensions provide a basic setup that enhances steering precision, stability, and road holding. Those looking to enhance on-road dynamics may opt for the V2 or V3. The KW V2 allows the rebound adjustment with 16 clicks to influence handling.

The KW V3 also features an adjustable rebound. The coilover suspension can also be tuned with the integrated compression adjustment wheel on the lower damper housing, with twelve clicks in the low-speed compression stage. This affects potential body roll and pitch movements. The task of the rebound is to connect the body to the road. Compression affects the compression and supports the chassis.

Regarding the low-speed speed range, we're talking about piston rod velocities. These occur during slow steering movements. Road undulations and lateral joints cause high-speed inputs. We configure our high-speed valves directly during damper construction. They cannot be adjusted via the adjustment wheels and assist in providing harmonious damping when traversing road undulations or irregularities.

On undulating asphalt surfaces, especially the KW coilover suspension, V3 dampens extremely harmoniously and prevents erratic driving behavior. The body structure's pitch and roll movements are significantly reduced on the BMW 3 Series Touring (G21) and the BMW 3 Series sedan (G20). Whether in everyday driving on country roads, poorly maintained side streets, or holiday trips over mountain passes, the road holding of the popular BMW 3 Series is further enhanced with KW coilover suspensions.

Our philosophy for tuning our Street Performance suspensions like the KW V3 is always to achieve as firm as necessary and as comfortable as possible driving behavior. This is made possible by the adjustable KW Two-Way Valve Technology (TVR-A rebound damping and TVC-A compression damping). According to personal preferences, it allows individual adjustment of the rebound forces with 16 clicks and the compression behavior of the BMW 3 Series sedan (G20) with 12 clicks in the compression stage. Even with maximum lowering and rapid traversing of road undulations or large lateral joints, the wheels compress due to the blow-off characteristic of the V3 dampers.
