A plus in driving dynamic pleasure for the 5-series (G30) and 5-series Touring BMW (G31)
For decades, the 5-series BMW has been considered the benchmark in the upper mid-range. The car history goes back to a 45-year model history. From now on, we offer the KW V3 coilover kit for the 5-series BMW (G30) sedan and the 5-series BMW Touring (G31) with rear axle air suspension.
The 5-series BMW and the 5-series BMW Touring combined with the KW V3 are sporty and comfortable. In the scope of the included parts certificate, the sedan is lowerable from 30 to 55 millimeters on both axles.
We offer a broad range of coilover kits for several BMW models. Moreover, we work closely with the Bavarian automotive manufacturer regarding special models and motorsport projects. This is also a benefit for all 5-series BMW drivers: With the KW V3 coilover kit, the driving dynamic of the car is improved immediately. Like the coilovers for the M235i Racing, the dampers are manually adjustable.
Coilover solution for the BMW 5-series Touring (G31) with air suspension
We now offer a suspension solution for the BMW 5-series Touring (G31) with rear axle air suspension ex works. While we can equip the 5-series BMW with normal KW height-adjustable springs, the retrofitting at the rear axle becomes a little more complex: To find a coilover solution, the BMW air bellow was transferred to the KW shock absorbers. For this, the original BMW suspension part is combined with KW dampers. For the perfect lowering, joint rods are used at the rear axle.
KW valve technology for guaranteed driving dynamics and more comfort
Many drivers decide on sporty light-alloy wheels. Combined with the adjustable dampers of the KW V3, several tire-wheel combinations are possible and can enhance the driving dynamic and the riding comfort of your car.
Thanks to the rebound adjustment wheel at the upper end of the piston rod, the rebound becomes stiffer or softer within 16 clicks. With a lower rebound force, the comfort increases. With an increased rebound, handling and chassis movements are reduced. This results in more precise steering even at high speeds.
In the KW V3 coilover kit, we use pre-adjusted highspeed compression valves. Those V3 valves open when driving over speed bumps. Despite maximum lowering, the wheels can still immerse. This prevents the car body of the sedan from building up motions. The car stays on track.
