KW DDC plug & play coilovers for BMW i4 eDrive40 Gran Coupé: Inventive upgrade for the optional BMW M sport suspension

With the new BMW i4 eDrive40 Gran Coupé (G26) BMW offers a good-looking Coupé. The five-door Gran Coupé has up to 340 hp and a reach of almost 400 kilometers. The electric BMW i4 eDrive40 Gran Coupé with BMW M sports suspension can be equipped with our electronically adjustable KW DDC plug & play coilovers

The KW DDC plug & play coilovers are suitable for all BMW i4 eDrive40 Gran Coupé models with optional BMW M sport suspension.

The KW DDC plug & play coilovers are compatible with the built-in BMW electronic. The stainless-steel KW DDC struts replace the adaptive BMW M sports suspensions in the BMW i4 eDrive40 Gran Coupé (G26). After installing the KW DDC coilovers, the plugs of the semi-active BMW M sports suspension need to be connected with the KW-DDC-plugs. The serial BMW electronic instantly recognizes the adaptive KW DDC coilovers.

The KW DDC plug & play coilovers need to be installed only on the front axle of the i4 eDrive40.
The optional BMW M sports suspension with air suspension system stays aboard when retrofitting the KW DDC plug & play coilovers in the BMW i4 eDrive40 Gran Coupé.

What makes the BMW i4 eDrive40 Gran Coupé (G26) with optional and adaptive BMW M sports suspension special is that only on the front axle the KW DDC plug & play coilovers need to be installed. At the rear axle the BMW M air suspension system stays aboard. KW only retrofits a joint rod for height adjustments.

In Comfort mode, the adaptive chassis confidently dampens bumps in the road without the BMW i4 eDrive40 (G26) Gran Coupé, which weighs more than two tons, losing cornering stability.

The optional BMW M sports suspension in the electric BMW enables choosing different driving modes in the cockpit. When choosing the comfort mode, the adaptive coilovers damp street irregularities without making the two-ton-heavy car loose curve stability. With KW coilover struts at the front axle the 340 hp strong electric car can be better handled. Within the other modes the ride comfort is preserved.

When retrofitting a car with DDC coilovers it can be lowered from 20 to 40 millimeters at the front axle and 15 to 35 millimeters at the rear axle with help of a KW joint rod.

If the electric BMW is retrofitted with DDC coilovers, a continuous lowering from 20 to 40 millimeters on the front axle and 15 to 35 millimeters at the rear axle is achieved with a KW joint rod. The KW DDC plug & play coilovers for the BMW i4 eDrive40 Gran Coupé (G26) comes with a parts certificate.
