Using this example, we would like to explain to you how to understand our pen code.

* = It is a high-strength spring, made of a material with a higher load capacity.

Explanation of terms

Spring rate

The spring rate indicates how much force (in KG) must be applied to the spring in order to compress it by 10 millimetres. The higher the spring rate, the harder the spring. In this example: At a load of 70kg the spring is compressed 10mm.

Lower spring rate = The body frequency becomes less, the vehicle becomes softer / more comfortable and lowers itself more strongly with payload.

Higher spring rate = The body frequency becomes higher, the vehicle becomes harder / sportier and lowers less with payload.

Length of the unloaded spring

In the example 170.

Longer spring = The vehicle can be adjusted higher, the spring has more permissible stroke.

Shorter spring = The vehicle becomes deeper.
