An increasing number of drivers of electric cars, such as the Tesla Model 3, are buying automotive accessories. Now KW coilovers are also available for the Cupra Born electric car.

Stylish performance for Cupra Born (K1): Electronically and manually adjustable KW coilovers for Cupra's all-electric model.

KW automotive has also developed various coilovers for electric cars like the Cupra Born

Both the adaptive KW DDC plug &play coilover suspension and the KW V3 coilover suspension, which is manually adjustable in compression and rebound, allow the Cupra Born electric car to be continuously dropped up to 45 millimeters. Developed and manufactured in Germany by KW automotive, the suspensions are immediately available.

KW automotive was the first aftermarket suspension manufacturer to introduce adaptive coilovers with a technical parts certificate in Germany.

At KW automotive, we already developed our adaptive KW DDC plug & play coilovers for over 150 different cars. And now it is also available for the Cupra Born electric car (Type 1K). Our KW DDC coilover suspension is the first choice for anyone who drives a Cupra Born with the optional DCC damper control and is simply looking for a coilover suspension.

Just like the optional Cupra Born DCC suspension, the KW DDC plug & play coilover suspension features electromagnetic valves for damper control.

Since our KW DDC suspensions are compatible with the DCC damper control used by the VAG Group, it remains possible to use the various driving modes that control the damping. The control unit of the Cupra Born (K1) processes the signals from the body and wheel travel sensors to control the adaptive KW DDC plug & play coilover suspension for each wheel accordingly.

When accelerating, braking, and steering, the KW DDC plug & play coilover suspension is adjusted in the damping directly from the standard suspension control unit of the Cupra Born

While driving, the KW DDC coilover suspension constantly adjusts its damping to the road and driving style. Depending on the circumstances for example, the electromagnetic shock absorber valves will change their characteristics and switch to firmer damping. The suspension is even adjusted during acceleration, braking, and steering. The less instability in the body structure is caused, the less the ESP has to adapt.

Alternative for Cupra Born models without DCC control: the KW V3 coilover suspension

With immediate effect, the KW V3 is also available for Cupra's first all-electric compact model.

Across all vehicle applications, our KW V3 coilover suspension became the best-selling height-adjustable sport suspension. As of now, our KW V3 is available for Cupra's first all-electric compact model. It's not only the ability to adjust the preset damper setup separately in compression and rebound that makes the KW V3 coilover so popular: Thanks to KW's multi-valve technology, the KW suspension always ensures a harmonious ride in day-to-day driving. And in this price range, there is undoubtedly no better aftermarket coilover suspension available for the Cupra Born.

Thanks to the lower center of gravity and the more harmonious damping, also the driving range of Cupra Born knows how to improve.

Similar to the KW DDC plug & play coilover suspension, the KW V3 in the Cupra Born enables continuously adjustable lowering of 20 to 45 millimeters on the front and rear axles. Thanks to the lower center of gravity and more harmonious damping, the range of electric cars also benefits. For example, electric mobility specialists achieved a seven percent increase in range by installing a KW V3 coilover suspension in a Tesla Model 3 with rear-wheel drive.
