For all Mercedes-AMG GT (Type 197) Coupé and Roadster (including GT S, GT C, Edition 50 and GT R) we manufacture height-adjustable KW coilover springs height-adjustable KW coilover springs, hydraulic lift systems (KW HLS) as well as KW coilover kits made of stainless steel (KW Variant 3 ) and aluminum ( KW Variant 4).

KW HLS – more ground clearance by the push of a button

In order to get more ground clearance by the push of a button at steep car park entrances, car park ramps or speed bumps in traffic-calmed zones, we have also developed the hydraulic lift systems (KW HLS) as a retrofit solution for the standard suspension of the Mercedes-AMG GT (type 197).

The KW HLS is available for the front axle for all models and engines of the Mercedes-AMG GT (type 197). At the push of a button, the lifting cylinders mounted on the standard struts lift the front by 45 mm. If you decide to get the KW HLS, we deliver it in combination with our KW coilover spring kit (height-adjustable spring set), which on request allows a lowering at the front axle from 0 to 25 millimeters.

Our vehicle-specific spring sets allow a stepless lowering in conjunction with the standard dampers similar to a KW coilover suspension. This allows to visually enhance the appearance of alloy wheels on your Mercedes-AMG GT (Type 197) by setting the lowering - at the front axle from 0 to 25 millimeters and at the drive axle from 10 to 30 millimeters.

The spring rates of the KW coilover springs also harmonize with the different driving modes of the OEM electronic damper control. In addition to the springs and threaded sleeves for an adjustment of the lowering, the scope of delivery also includes the various dust protection and additional spring elements.

In addition to the gain in driving dynamics, with the coilover suspension you can also lower your two-door Mercedes-AMG GT to a maximum of 20 to 40 millimeters on the front axle and 20 to 45 millimeters on the drive axle.

There are 16 individual clicks available to choose from for the rebound stage, with every single click having a dynamic driving effect. With the rebound stage, for example, you can take influence on the handling to consider different wheel / tire combinations.

The compression level with its twelve click stages is changed directly via the integrated wheel at the lower end of the damper and suspension strut. The compression stage allows to consider the tire rigidity as well as the handling and the rolling movements of the body.





For the KW suspension technology of the KW Variant 3 we also use preset high-speed compression stage valves. This way we achieve, that, for example, when driving over bumps or large transverse joints, even with maximum lowering of the Mercedes-AMG, the valves open and the wheels can dive in. A rocking and restless driving behavior is prevented by this multi-stage KW valve technology.

With the separately adjustable rebound, low-speed compression and high-speed compression stage, you get numerous options to set your AMG GT R to your personal driving style and you no longer must live with the compromise of the series.

With its 16 clicks for the rebound damping forces, six clicks in the low-speed compression stage (seven characteristic curves) and 15 clicks in the high-speed compression stage (16 characteristic curves), the three-way-valve technology allows to individually adjust your Mercedes-AMG sports car in driving behavior and to adjust it to individual preferences.

With this multi-valve technology, also when changing from road tires to sports tires, the grip level of the tires can be taken into account. Even with maximum lowering and fast driving over bumps or large transverse joints, the wheels are springing in by the blow-off characteristics of the KW Variant 4 dampers. A rocking and restless handling is prevented by this multi-stage KW valve technology.

Like every KW coilover kit with adjustable dampers, the so-called vehicle-specific basic setup is already adjusted to your Mercedes-AMG GT (type 197) by our suspension manufactory. We always deliver the Variant 4 suspension in a performance setting, which you can adjust to a comfortable setting at any time with the integrated adjusting dial directly on the dampers.

While for the Mercedes-AMG GT R, only the KW Variant 4 is available, the KW coilover springs and the KW Variant 3 can be ordered for all Mercedes-AMG GT (Type 197). The GT R can be lowered continuously from 5 to 25 millimeters on both axles. On the other Mercedes-AMG GT models (GT S, GT C, Edition 50), the Variant 4 just like the Variant 3 allow a stepless lowering of 20 to 40 millimeters at the front axle and 20 to 45 millimeters at the drive axle.
