The Ford Focus RS III (DYB) has recently become available with all-wheel drive for the first time and the 350 hp compact sports car is winning the hearts of sports car fans around the world. As one of the few chassis manufacturers for the aftermarket, we at KW have developed a wide range of adaptive chassis systems. Since 2011 we have been offering electronically controlled KW DDC plug&play coilovers that are compatible with a wide variety of systems in the automotive industry.

The KW DDC plug & play coilover kit, which is compatible with the Ford on-board electronics , is now available for the Ford Focus RS II (DYB), which is exclusively equipped with electronically adjustable dampers ex works . While with other retrofit suspensions for the Ford Focus RS, the electronic damper control must be deactivated and can no longer be used, this is not the case with the adaptive KW DDC coilover suspension.



Echtes Plug&Play mit dem KW DDC Gewindefahrwerk: Einbauen, anschließen und durchstarten



The KW DDC dampers in our stainless steel coilover kit are controlled by the series on-board electronics and all functions of the series are retained. When retrofitting, only the series struts and dampers have to be exchanged for the KW components and the KW DDC plugs connected to the series plugs. There is no need to intervene in the control unit or modify the cables. As soon as the KW DDC plugs are connected, the series sensors recognize the electronically controllable KW dampers and control them in the respective driving mode.





Für die Entwicklung eines KW Gewindefahrwerks setzen wir neben Fahrversuchen auf verschiedenen Teststrecken auch unseren Fahrdynamikprüfstand ein.



In the Ford Focus RS, the driver can choose between normal, sport, racetrack or drift driving modes. The Focus has no active suspension control. So to speak, the dampers only react to the settings of the respective driving mode, which the driver selects at the push of a button.

The adjustment of the lowering on the adaptive KW DDC plug&play coilovers is made via the dirt-resistant KW trapezoidal thread on the stainless steel strut and the rear axle height adjustment.
